LAKELAND, Fla. – The Nova Southeastern softball team will take on Florida Southern in a three-game series beginning on Friday, April 14. The Sunshine State Conference matchup is set to conclude on Saturday, April 15 with a double-header.
- Nova Southeastern has an 11-7 record in conference play, while Florida Southern is 8-13 against SSC opponents.
- NSU leads the all-time series 33-27 and is 9-1 in its last 10 matchups with Florida Southern.
- The Sharks have swept the Mocs in three of the last four series, and currently owns a six-game winning streak.

Nova Southeastern is led by a pair of dominant bats in
Ryleigh Langwell (.429) and
Alexis Smith (.424), who rank second and third, respectively, in the SSC in batting average. In addition, Smith and
Madison Fine are tied for the conference-lead in RBIs (36). On the bump,
Alyssa Drogemuller has been the Sharks' ace, ranking fourth in the conference in wins (12), eighth in ERA (2.01) and thirteenth in opponent batting average (.245).
Florida Southern has been led by a trio of hitters (Taylor Thoma, Destiny Colg and Skyler Ralst), all of which rank inside the top-16 averages in the SSC, with batting averages over 0.370. The Mocs ace is Mel Rogers, who owns a 2.38 ERA across 79.1 innings pitched.

The Sharks and Mocs will open its series on Friday, April 14 at Chris Bellotto Field in Lakeland, Fla. First pitch is set for 7 p.m.
